Company BIO

Founded on July 4th, 2017, Jamestown Government Services, LLC is a Native American, Woman Owned Small Business headquartered in Williamsburg Virginia.

The company’s President and CEO Linda (Dennis) Kester is a direct descendant, and active member, of the Pamunkey Indian Tribe of Eastern Virginia. During the early American Colonial period the Pamunkey Tribe, along with many others, was ruled by Chief Powhatan, the father of Pocahontas. Every historian knows of the significant role the Powhatan paramountcy had in the forming of Jamestown and the explorations of Captain John Smith.

The Reservation and home village are situated on ancestral land just 20 miles east of Richmond on the Pamunkey River. The Pamunkey Tribe was the first federally recognized Native American Indian Tribe in the Commonwealth of Virginia, receiving that status in January 2016.

Jamestown Government Services was established to deliver engineering and technical support services to City, State, and Federal Government organizations, focusing primarily on the broad Military market in the Tidewater area of Southeastern Virginia. As an emerging Small Business, our first goal is to build relationships with other companies in the region to develop avenues for coordinated participation in the growing number of Native American and Woman Owned Small Business set-aside contracts. This will open doors for others to take part in delivering services under contracts they would not normally have access to, and it will provide us with the stable foundation that every new company needs to build the experienced and capable workforce necessary to succeed in today’s ever-expanding, and increasingly challenging marketplace.
